"The Day the Hive Stood Still"

last spring our class took on an assignment to create a one-minute
fully realized animation... it didn't really end up happening because
we learned how hard it is to have (essentially) 3 or 4 people try
and make it functional in a few months time... these are some of the
things that i salvaged from the project we called "The Day the Hive
Stood Still", which dealt with our take on why wasps
are complete assholes...

inside the hive.

an exterior textural idea.

(scene 20. wasp is stunned, but recovers...)
animated by travis whitty. background by chris bialk.

(not sure which scene. grandpa giving a speech.)
animated/background by nate behmlander.

(scene 23. wasp stabbing stinger into kid's arm.)
animated by erik holman. background by chris bialk.
